On his death in 1035 his empire fragmented and his heirs and former enemies fought for control In this game, players take the role of the leaders of the four families in contention for this great prize. The Godwins in England, either directly or through the kings they controlled; the descendants of St Olaf in Norway; the relatives and descendants of Cnut in Denmark; and the Dukes of Normandy.
