About

It’s the eve of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Your local store has just ten light bulbs and a handful of batteries left, and your neighbour wants them too. In this fast-paced 2-player game, you'll take turns drafting bulb and battery cards over just 11 turns, racing to build the most dazzling Festive Display in under 15 minutes. In A Light Game, players draft Light Bulbs and Batteries to build a personal Festive Display. Each Bulb has an exact voltage requirement that must be met by the Batteries connected to it, using any combination of addition and subtraction. Every draft is a puzzle: do you claim Bulbs that maximise your Victory Points, grab a crucial Battery before your opponent does, or collect matching colours for valuable elegance bonuses? With simple rules, meaningful decisions, and a fresh mathematical twist, A Light Game blends drafting, spatial planning, and light arithmetic into a quick, family-friendly strategy game. Shining bright is only half the challenge. The real trick is doing it with elegance. —description from the publisher
