Fliprank: Food Chain Edition is a fast-paced educational card game about tracking organisms through a food chain. Players follow the movement of an organism as it shifts between different positions in a circular ecosystem, representing predator-prey and decomposition relationships. The game combines memory, observation, and quick reactions while introducing players to food chain concepts found in nature. At the start of each round, an organism card is revealed as the starting organism. Players then take turns revealing Fliprank cards that move the organism forward or backward along the food chain. As each movement occurs, players must keep track of the organism’s current position. Some cards trigger special events that cause everyone to race to identify the correct organism as quickly as possible. Players earn points by correctly identifying the organism’s final position when a challenge is triggered. Mistakes can result in receiving a penalty card that temporarily prevents participation in future answer races, creating additional tension and strategic pressure. Because the organism’s position constantly changes, players must pay close attention throughout the round. The game ends when a player collects 3 points or when there are no organism cards remaining to begin a new round. The player with the most points wins.
