You are a novelist, and your competition is sitting across the table. In Storycraft: Plot Twist, 2 to 5 players compete as rival authors racing to craft the most compelling book and earn the most Acclaim Points. Each round, players choose a location in the city to gather inspiration, acquire Publisher Requests, and sabotage their rivals. The cards you collect become your story: a Lead Character, Love Interest, Setting, Villain, Climax, and Resolution, each drawn from one of five genres: Contemporary, Fantasy, Paranormal, Noir, and Sci-Fi. Every card has two sides. The Published side scores positive points and represents your polished, reader-ready work. The First Draft side scores negative points but unlocks powerful Publisher Request bonuses for authors brave enough to embrace the chaos. A Writer's Block token locks one element slot each round, forcing you to pivot your plot whether you like it or not. After five turns, players title their book, pitch it to the table, and vote for their favorite. Acclaim isn't just about the numbers. It's about the story.
