Baby, you made it! You're a professional performing drag queen. And what's more, younger drag queens want you to mentor them as their drag mother. You better ‘werk’ to get the best tips, take all the glory, and snatch that tiara. Drag Dynasty is a crunchy euro about being a professional performing drag queen and drag mother. It uses action selection, movement programming, and a hybrid mancala/engine building system to cycle meeples (fans) to different spaces. There are three interacting systems of developing your fanbase for discounted actions and selling them tickets to make money, programming a dance routine on the Main Stage for your Queen, and sending Drag Daughters to face off against each other in ballroom showdowns where the best combination of skill and fans will win! On their turn, players will assign one of their Drag Daughters to a shop as an apprentice, and then will take an action there, paying the cost according to their player mat. These actions include investing in your Drag Daughter's skills, rehearsing Performances that move your Queen figure around the main stage, or gaining new Drag Daughters. At the end of their turn, players will send Fans to different shops or adding them to their Fan Club in order to get discounts on their turn. The gameplay involves opportunity cost decisions as players decide how best to use their money, and where to allocate their fans, either to get discounts on the actions at the shops, sell them tickets to get money to pay for their actions, or send them to cheer on their Drag Daughters as they compete in ballroom events and win trophies. —description from the designer
