Acerca de

The Game of Switchboard is a compelling mix of chaos, strategy and convenient alliances. Switchboard is as complex as you want it to be, and as simple as you need it to be, entertaining both hardcore and casual gamers alike. Through the integration of new board mechanics, Switchboard provides a modern twist on pachisi style games; it’s a fast paced race-to-the-finish on an ever changing board. The object of the game is to get all your pawns onto the board, around the board, and home before everyone else, but the Action Cards are what really set Switchboard apart. Action Cards allow players to switch and move every part of the board. Players may choose to use the cards offensively or defensively, developing their strategy for winning and obstructing the efforts of the other players. No pawn is truly safe until it reaches the Home Tile, with players banding together in Convenient Alliances to stop a common enemy, but turning upon each other the moment the situation changes, creating a fun, chaotic race to the finish. Switchboard is also innovative in its board layout, changing shape to accommodate two to eight players, with two playing on a rectangle, three on a triangle, four on a square, etc. In addition to the standard, free-for-all format, players have the option of playing in a team format, using the cards to propel the entire team to victory and cooperating to thwart the efforts of the other team(s). —description from the designer
